Interventional Cardiology
Interventional x-ray system such as the cardiac angiography system plays an important role providing clinical information to the cardiologist to decide which treatment will provide the maximum benefits to the patient. The angiography system can be manipulated virtually in any angle around the patient, viewing the coronary vessels from various angles to determine the diseased artery and to be treated, for instance by placing a stent to restore the flow. Although Toshiba Infinix-i provides customer with various sizes of flat panel detector (FPD), but the 8" x 8" FPD is dedicated for cardiac procedures.
